Selecting a digital preservation platform can be a daunting task. Where do you start? Do you need to solicit bids for the platform, and do you know how to do that? What functionality do you need or want? How do you determine your requirements and preferences? How do you evaluate the extent to which a platform meets those expectations? In this session three panelists will discuss the questions they asked and the steps they took and in selecting a repository platform for a state archive.
Audience(s): Archivist Practitioners, Archivist Managers, and Records Analysts/Managers
A basic familiarity with principles of digital preservation is recommended, but not required.
