CoSA Silent Auction

The Silent Auction is back! Previous silent auctions have been a key fundraiser for CoSA educational activities and this year we’re aiming for similar success in Nashville, TN, but we need your help providing auction items!

To help make this year another success, here are some helpful tips for popular auction items:

  • Think small - items that are easy to pack in carry-on luggage or easily consumed in the course of the meeting
  • Share a taste of your state - what food items are unique and special to your state?
  • Share your state's unique stories, history, food, or drink with your colleagues!
  • Snacks and small bottles of alcohol are always popular items!

Please complete the CoSA Silent Auction Donation form and include it when submitting your silent auction item(s). Silent Auction items can be shipped to Nashville prior to the meeting or can be dropped off with CoSA staff at the Tennessee State Library and Archives prior to the Silent Auction on Tuesday, September 27. See the donation form for more information about shipping items ahead of time.

We can’t wait to see all the fun, unique, and interesting items you all have to donate. And get ready to bid often and bid high on your favorite items!

Reimbursement for Travel to the CoSA Annual Meeting

CoSA will reimburse travel to the annual meeting for one or more individual(s) per state or territory that has paid the base rate or above, up to a maximum of 50% of the dues paid. Representatives receiving reimbursement will be expected to attend both the CoSA Work Session and the CoSA Business Meeting.

The CoSA Travel Reimbursement Policy outlines eligibility for reimbursement and procedures to follow to receive reimbursement. Those who are eligible for reimbursement should complete the CoSA Reimbursement Form and send it along with ALL receipts to CoSA staff within 30 days after returning from the conference. Please scan and email your reimbursement forms to travel@statearchivists.org.

Reimbursements are limited to actual expenses incurred, up to a maximum of 50% of dues paid. Please review the CoSA Travel Policy FAQs (coming soon!) for the most common questions.

Meal expenses will be reimbursed as actual expenses according to itemized receipts but no more than the General Services Administration (GSA) rate schedule for the host city. Reference the GSA rates for M&IE for the 2022 meeting in Nashville, TN. Note that when CoSA is providing a meal through programming, hotel arrangement, or the schedule of the joint conference, reimbursement may not be requested for that meal unless pre-approval is secured. Reference the Travel Policy for complete information.
